Whether you are going out on the town, or hanging in with family and friends, there are so many sparkly pieces to choose from so be sure to enjoy picking out that special outfit {or two!} for your New Year festivities!

Christmas Holiday Style Board

With Christmas only a few weeks away, I can’t help but start to think about the perfect holiday outfit. Thinking about the holidays brings back such fond memories of getting up Christmas morning, opening gifts, then getting dressed in our holiday best for mass, followed by lots of family and amazing food… those were the days!

This is our first Christmas together in our new home and I am so excited to start our own holiday traditions! Of course, for every holiday you need the perfect holiday outfit so, I put together a little style board of my favorite holiday inspired outfits both dressed up and dressed down. There are so many festive pieces to choose from so be sure to enjoy picking out that special outfit {or two!} for your holiday festivities!

Holiday Home Tour

I am not usually one to get in the holiday spirit, but this year I’ve been super excited to decorate! I don’t quite know what it is… maybe it’s actually having a brand new home to decorate… or maybe the holiday bug has just finally bitten me, but I can’t seem to get enough!

We did have a minor setback when our freshly decorated tree toppled over and destroyed quite a few of our many Disney ornaments. I was, and still am, devastated by this disaster… we lost many ornaments we’ve been collecting throughout our 10 years together. But I pulled myself together to finish decorating the house!

I’m so happy with how everything is coming along! I still feel like I have a few finishing touches to complete but so far, so good! Hope you enjoy our holiday home tour!

Pantone Color of the Year 2015 Announced

Pantone just announced the much anticipated color of the year for 2015… and the winner is…. Marsala Red! Pantone describes Marsala as “A naturally robust and earthy red wine” and goes on to say, “Marsala enriches our minds, bodies, and souls, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us in to its embracing warmth.”

Marsala is a color that, unlike Radiant Orchid before it, is appealing to both men and women. The rich, deep red color is also flattering to many skin types and serves as the perfect pop of color in everything from makeup and beauty to home decor and fashion.

I think this color is gorgeous and can see it translating into many areas in my life from my fashion to home decor. I can even see this being a positively lovely palette for a wedding or event! The earthy brown tone in this color make it both sophisticated and bold all at once. I wonder where we will see this color popping up in the next year? All of the lovely possibilities, I couldn’t help but put together a Marsala style board!
