Summer Vacation Style Board

After today, I am going to be away from posting for a few days while on a much anticipated summer vacation! With sun, sand, and summer fun on my mind, I put together a summer vacation style board with a few of my favorite “must pack” essentials. For me, this summer is all about mixing and matching fun graphic prints, bold bright pops of color, and neutral staples that you can incorporate in your wardrobe all year round. Happy packing!

Mint + Gold

I’m currently obsessed with this soft and very dreamy mint color in absolutely all shades. Keep your eyes open and you’ll notice that this color seems to be popping up just about everywhere right now. Paired with a beautiful glittering gold hue, it makes for a perfectly lovely palette for any event!

House Tour {First Floor}

My husband and I recently bought a brand new home! We are beyond thrilled to start this adventure as new homeowners. With my background in design, I am also incredibly excited to continue to fill our new house with amazing pieces and accents in hopes to truly make it our home. We moved in early May and I think the first floor is finally at a point for me to share {with the exception of the formal living room, which I have BIG plans for… details to come soon!}

So, I hope you enjoy our lovely home! I know we are!

Pom Love

It’s no secret that I’m utterly obsessed with tassels and tassel garland… well, as an extension to that obsession, let me introduce you to poms. I’m absolutely IN LOVE with these puffy little gorgeous trims! My mind is racing at all of the lovely things I can buy and make with this gorgeous pom trim!

As a new homeowner, my mind is spinning on how to decorate our new home…enter poms! I am absolutely in love with pom trimmed pillows! The pillow pictured on the top of the image below was found on Houzz and, in my opinion, a bit out of my price range for a pillow. I do potentially see a DIY in my future though! I did happen to find a more affordable option at JCPenny’s that is equally adorable. And how amazing are these gorgeously perfect pom lined Anthropologie curtains!?! The possibilities to incorporate my beloved poms in my new home’s interior spaces is practically endless!

Also, while perusing my local Urban Outfitters recently, I came across these absolutely adorable shorts that I just couldn’t pass! I bought both the royal blue and black and white printed pairs and just can’t wait to wear them just about every day this summer! I might just cave and get the solid black ones too… we shall see!

Lastly, Ryan and I are looking to send out moving announcements to our friends and family so they can all file our new address. I scoured the internet and believe that I found the PERFECT inspiration! According to my research, moving announcements are not only an elegant way to send your loved ones your new address, but also a wonderful opportunity to share a little bit of your personal style while conveying this message… what a great way to incorporate my pom love into these little announcements! I CAN NOT WAIT to get these little gems started and sent out! I plan to use the below image as inspiration and add my love for mint into the poms themselves – oh, and can I just say that I’m totally digging the gold liner too! I will keep you updated on the progress! 🙂

So tell me, do you love poms as much as I do? And if so, how do you plan on incorporating them into your life?
